# What is Aspect Ratio?

The shape of a frame, written as width to height: 16:9 widescreen, 9:16 vertical, 1:1 square, 4:5 portrait. Set it before you generate, since cropping later cuts into the composition.

## In real work

The hero shot had to run as a 16:9 pre-roll and a 9:16 story, so she generated each aspect ratio separately instead of cropping the logo off the wide version.
