# What is Duration?

How long an animation takes from start to finish. Short durations (100 to 200ms) feel snappy. Longer ones (300 to 500ms) feel more deliberate.

## In real work

Button press at 120ms. Full-screen transitions at 350ms. Keep all other durations between those two.
