Making images, video, and apps got cheap. The hard part is knowing the words to tell those tools what you want.

On 27 September 2026, PromptHaus sat beside the Play Creator Hackathon in Chicago. Creators there make different kinds of work. The app taught a short vocabulary path that was written before the afternoon.

A wage premium is the extra pay offered for a skill.

PwC (2026) compared job ads for the same kind of role. Ads that ask for AI skills, including prompt engineering, offer about 62% more pay. The year before, that gap was 57%.

Ads that ask for AI skills grew 69%. Ads overall grew 9%.

Jobs where AI is common are 2.5 times as likely to also ask for human skills such as judgment and creativity. PwC credits that frame to Loaiza and Rigobon (2025).

A pathway is a set of terms in a fixed order. Creator Founder has 28 terms. The path starts with PRD, API key, and access token. It continues through creative brief, publish, members area, AI budget, and hook test.

Onboarding assigns Creator Founder when someone enters with the Play code. Polly is the in-app guide. She listens to what a person says they are making and matches that to a pathway already in the catalog.

People reached the app from a public event page, four short films made with Play, and a private lifetime code, PLAYBUILD. The code covers the subscription for people in the room.

The main check has three parts. The introduction is finished. Creator Founder is on. One quiz is done the same day. A quiz is a short check that the person can use the term.
